Lok Sabha Elections: PM address from Mau (Uttar Pradesh)

The Indian bloc parties, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, intend to make the majority population of the nation second-class citizens by rewriting the Constitution to allow for religious reservations. Speaking at a public gathering in Ghosi, Purvanchal region, he further claimed that the opposition alliance would eliminate the reservations granted to SC, ST, and OBC and transfer all of them to Muslims. He charged that IDNAI parties were inciting caste strife within their own ranks.

Lok Sabha Elections: PM attack on opposition

Modi accused Samajwadi Party and Congress, partners in the INDIA alliance, of neglecting Purvanchal over the years and causing it to become a “region of mafia, poverty and helplessness”.

“Today, I have come to alert the people of Purvanchal and Ghosi about the big conspiracy of the INDI alliance,” Modi said, and counted the grouping’s three “big conspiracies”.

“First, the INDI alliance’s constituents would amend the Constitution to state clearly that religious reservations shall be granted in India. Second, the reservations made for SC, ST, and OBC will be terminated by these Indians. Third, on the grounds of religion, they will grant Muslims the entire reservation. “A third way has been developed to get around the OBC reservation,” he declared. Overnight, they are designating Muslim castes as OBC. The Calcutta High Court recently dismissed the 77 Muslim castes’ request for OBC reservation. “Today, the SP, Congress, and INDI people want to make the majority community in India second-class citizens,” the prime minister continued.

Prior to 2014, the legislation was abruptly altered by Congress to designate colleges, universities, and schools as minority institutions. Thousands of educational institutions were designated as minority institutions by them. Muslims were granted reservations in place of the reservations that SC, ST, and OBC students had previously had. “Is there any greater betrayal than the actions of these backward tribal sons and daughters of the Dalits?” He claimed that everyone on the planet was following the ongoing general elections in India and that the results will have an impact on every nation on the planet, with the electorate choosing a prime minister who will have greater authority than the previous one.
